XO: Valentine's Day Door Decor!
I secretly love valentine's day. It was such a fun holiday when I was younger because of all the homemade gifts for classmates and family. I just really enjoy celebrating love I guess. I came across this project on Pinterest and was wanting to learn how to make felt flower (yeah, I know, a little late to the game!). So I gave the project my own spin. Hope you enjoy!
This is what I started out with for my different type of flowers. Some I cut strips of felt, and others I traced and cut out circles.
From L to R, I cut a scalloped edge on one strip and rolled for a rose. The red strip was folded in half, and cut from the fold to just before the edge and rolled for a carnation. On the white strip I cut fringe, and rolled (again) for a "fringe flower" look. (fringe flower is a real thing, I googled it!) And lastly the circles were spiral cut and rolled (yet again).
I purchased the X and O at the craft store, spray painted them red, and hot glued them together. I then arranged and hot glued my flowers to the letters, and attached some string to the back.
The final product!
